Our Market &
Business Model
The $100 Trillion
Market:
Communities & regions worldwide
seek a “Holy Grail" economy.
In a 2007 Strategy + Business magazine report
entitled "Lights,
Water, Motion!", the global consulting
firm Booz, Allen Hamilton
estimated the global backlog of infrastructure
renovation at $41 trillion. Infrastructure is just
one of
12 sectors of restorative development: add the
other 11 sectors, and the worldwide market for
restorative development can be conservatively estimated at $100
trillion.
Another way
of looking at this market is as the raw materials--the
restorable assets--of community revitalization and
natural resource restoration worldwide.
Opportunities to grow by
partnering with
Resolution Fund.
The same
decision-making rules, solution-making processes, and
action-making model we recommend to our community
clients is used by us to grow Resolution Fund.
The
decisions about new products, services, or partners are
driven by the 3 Renewal Rules:
Rewealth
(asset renewal):
They must be focused on renewing natural, built, and/or
socioeconomic assets.
Integration:
Whenever a
choice must be made, we will usually decide in favor of
the more integrated approach, one that renews the
natural, built, and socioeconomic environments together,
for maximum efficiency and synergy.
Engagement:
Whenever a choice must be made, we will usually decide
in favor of the more engaged approach, one that
effectively involves business, academic, non-profit,
government, and citizen stakeholders. This helps
ensure win-win solutions for the public and private
sectors, while simultaneously speeding approvals.
Our growth is driven by the 3
Renewal Processes:
Visioning:
All new products, services and partners must be in
harmony with our vision and mission of helping
communities (and the planet in general) achieve rapid,
resilient renewal.
Culturing:
All of our activities should help create a global
culture of renewal via changes in public policies and
private expectations.
Partnering: There
are two aspects of Resolution Fund; Direct Services that
are relatively non-scalable, plus a network of Partnered
Services. The latter is eminently scalable, and
might well become one of the world's largest
aggregations of opportunities, restorable assets (real
estate, structures, natural resources, public services,
utilities, etc.), renewal resources (software,
equipment, funding, etc.), and related
solution-providers.
-
Direct
Services: These three services are provided
directly by our CEO, Storm Cunningham, along with a
cadre of instructors with expertise of a more
specialized nature. They are:
-
Partnered
Services: These products and services are
provided via partnered individuals, companies, and
organizations. They fall into the following
categories:
-
Managed
Funds: We partner with professional fund
managers who wish to invest in restorative
projects of all kinds, worldwide. They
provide all of the management services and make
their own independent decisions as to which
projects get funded. Our role is to
provide them with the inside track on the
safest, most profitable opportunities within the
categories or geographic areas of their focus.
-
Individual
and Institutional Investors: Via our
Matchmaking Service (part of our
Renewal Capacity Program
for communities, regions, and nations), we link
individual and institutional investors to the
safest, most profitable restorative investment
opportunities that match the goals of their
portfolios.
-
Online
Services: A global inventory of restorable
assets, opportunities, service providers, and
other renewal resources will be accumulated and
accessed online. There will be a fee-based
publicly-accessible and publicly-populated
database, and a private database accessible only
to our staff, partners, and clients. Both
will be provided via partnership, whereby
Resolution Fund will primarily provide strategy,
publicity, initial content, and initial users.
The partner(s) will provide capital, capacity,
and technical expertise.
-
Conferences: A large number of local,
regional, national, and international events
will be necessitated by the above activities.
We will partner with event management firms
that wish to provide them.
Resolution Fund is
thus based on a
Renewal Engine™
model.
We can--to put it
grandly--become the renewal engine for Planet Earth.
All stakeholders--business, academic, non-profit,
government, and citizens--can come together around a
shared vision of a renewed future, fostering a global
culture of renewal, and creating a constant stream of
renewal partnerships around the world.
The only primary
differences between Resolution Fund and a local renewal
engine are that we are more "virtual" (a larger portion
of our relationships and services are provided online),
and we are a for-profit firm (community/regional renewal
engines should be non-profit.)
What to do now.
If you would like to explore a partnership, the first
step is usually for one or more of your representatives
to enroll in one of our Rewealth
Seminars. This is a pre-qualification step: it
helps assure us that you are fully familiar with our
principles and methods, and that you are seriously
interested. Let's revitalize the world
together!
