Renewal Resources

Phase Three of our Renewal Capacity Program provides

ongoing access to the investors, partners, and service providers

you need to sustain and accelerate your renewal.

The ongoing support provided in the third phase of our Renewal Capacity Program consists of 3 services:

Personal consultations: The first of the Renewal Resource services is highly personalized. Using telephone and email, the right communities are connected to the right investors/redevelopers (anywhere in the world) at the right time for the right project. Communities thus discover the kinds of responsible investors and redevelopers they want and need: those oriented towards rewealth via integrative and engaged strategies. Private firms and individuals are likewise connected to communities sharing those three values. Such ideal partnerships help maximize ROI, safety, and the public good simultaneously.

Online resources: The second Renewal Resource matchmaking services is a publicly-accessible online database of all kinds of rewealth resources: properties needing restoration that are for sale, properties under restoration needing professional services, restored properties for sale, rewealth services (technical, financial, legal, etc.), organizations seeking partnerships (academic, NGO, neighborhood, etc.), communities seeking private partners, private firms seeking communities for partnerships, and so on.

Unlike the “matchmaking” service (which is confidential), this data is provided by registered users, and the searches are performed by registered users. These registered users can be anyone, not just Resolution Fund’s public and private clients. Resolution Fund won’t get directly involved in any transactions or partnerships the database might facilitate, they only provide the tool. [Note: Resolution Fund is taking its own medicine, and is looking to partner with an online technologies firm to provide this service.]

Local Rewealth Conferences: The third Renewal Resource service consists of conferences for communities that wish to show off their quality of life and restorable assets. These are linked to our ongoing series of Rewealth Seminars that attract individual and institutional investors from around the world.  Our one-day Rewealth Seminar will be followed by two days of presentations and tours by your public leaders, property owners, and businesses.

We don't schedule your Rewealth Conference until your community has completed the Renewal Capacity Program, because we want to bring funding and opportunity together in the right place, at the right time.  Once you've enhanced your renewal capacity, it's time to put it to work.  We promise our investor clients that we'll bring them to communities that have a renewal vision, a renewal culture, and a renewal engine.  In other words, an ideal environment for rewealth investments.

This is why we don't guarantee that we'll bring a Rewealth Conference to your community: it's not enough to have simply completed the workshop series of the Renewal Capacity Program: we will ascertain that you've put the lessons to work before telling our resource providers that your community or region is ready for renewal.  In other words, it's not just about attracting growth; it's about dealing with growth in a way that doesn't sabotage your future.

Resolution Fund provides the keynoter, and will promote your conference to the world. The local community designs the rest of the program, primarily local leaders and property owners seeking partners, vendors, or customers for current or prospective rewealth projects. The format will be fast-moving, with each presenter (except the keynoter) limited to 10 or 15 minutes to make their case. Interested attendees can meet presenters during a forum later in the program. Group field trips will familiarize attendees with the community and region.

Attendees will include redevelopers and investors looking for projects; companies, organizations, and entrepreneurs looking for an ideal place to relocate; and families or retirees looking for an opportunity to buy and restore their place in paradise.
This will be the community’s event: they will handle all of the logistics and registrations, and will keep any surplus revenue. Resolution Fund will advise on the format, program, and promotion. They will also provide the aforementioned opening and closing keynote speaker, as well as worldwide promotion via their website. Besides the many long-term benefits of connecting with prospective partners, employers, and residents, the community should derive immediate economic benefits for their hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions.

Only communities that have completed the Phase One capacity-building workshops will be eligible for the Phase Two matchmaking services (except for the online database, which is available to everyone). Why? Because the investors and redevelopers using Resolution Fund’s services are looking for communities on an upward trajectory. The three best indicators of future renewal are 1) a shared renewal vision, 2) a renewal culture, and 3) the ability to create renewal partnerships. All of these derive from having a renewal engine.

Here are a few more details on how our Renewal Resource services work:

  • Once you've boosted your community's capacity for renewal via our workshops, you need to harness that capacity by increasing your access to funding, and to renewal-related expertise in planning, design, construction, and a variety of other professional services and vendors (such as software).

  • Your renewal engine will greatly enhance your ability to create public-public, public-private, and private-private partnerships among stakeholders in your region.  But sometimes the partners you need aren't local.  When projects move into the realm of hundreds of millions--even billions--of dollars, you might need to contact redevelopers, private investors, and institutional investors from anywhere in the world.  We provide that connection.

  • We are building a global renewal resource network of investors, redevelopers, planners, and designers.  All are receiving the same Education Workshops we offer to communities.

    • In fact, we encourage them to train with you.  Some will even underwrite all or part of the cost of your community's Educational and Action Workshops for the privilege of being trained alongside your leaders and citizens. Such an environment enhances their learning experience, as they will learn our process at the same time they are becoming familiar with your specific challenges and opportunities.

    • It's even possible that--during the workshops--your leaders and our private partners might identify a project of mutual interest.  The workshops might thus lead to an actual project partnership, even before you've completed the first two phases of the Renewal Capacity Program.

  • The redevelopers and investors in our global network want to fund restorative projects, but prefer communities that have created an environment that supports restorative development. This enhances both their return on investment and the safety of their investments.  You can think of this as a "matchmaking" service: we connect our private sector clients--who are looking for ideal opportunities--with our public sector clients, who are looking for ideal partners.
